Summer Grass

Author's Note: I wrote a figurative assay on Summer Grass by Carl Sandburg.

There is a lot of personification in this short essay. "Summer grass arches and whispers it wants something. "  The personification makes it sound like the grass is whispering for something, almost like it need something important.

There is a language that effects to mood of the story. When the grass is whispering for something it sets a mood that it needs something like water. That makes the reader feel sad. When the story says "the rain answers" it sets a mood that is happy because the grass gets an answer for water.
